Course

De Paul Institute of Religion and Philosophy offers a three year academic programme leading to the degree of Bachelor of Philosophy (B.Ph). Simultaneously the students also undertake degree studies from IGNOU.

De Paul Institute of Religion and Philosophy is also a special study center (13126 D) of IGNOU for Philosophy. There are good number students especially from the Karnataka who do their B.A and M.A in Philosophy from IGNOU, through this study center. The seminarians who join De Paul Institute after their PUC/Higher Secondary do their B.A. (philosophy) of Indira Gandhi Open University (IGNOU). In order to obtain the Bachelor of Degree one is expected to complete 96 credits as per the requirements of IGNOU in minimum three years by earning 32 credits each year. Those Students, who join after graduation may be allowed to pursue Post Graduate Studies, provided they prove themselves capable of doing it without affecting their philosophical studies. In order to complete successfully the Master’s program in philosophy one has to earn 64 credits over a period of 2 to 5 years.
